Associate Professor of Corporate Finance, LUISS Guido Carli
Born in Naples, May 30, 1975, Raffaele Oriani is an Associate Professor of Corporate Finance and Venture Capital at the Department of Economics and Business of LUISS Guido Carli University of Rome. Formerly, he has been director of Master in Corporate Finance and Master in Real Estate Finance at LUISS Business School, in addition to a Corporate MBA at Alma Graduate School at Bologna University.
He fulfills also the position of Head of LUISS research unit for PRIN 2010 project “Market and non-market mechanisms for the exchange and diffusion of innovation”, funded by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MIUR); formerly, he has been co-director of the EIBURS projects “The Economic Value of Patents”, financed by the European Investment Bank.
Raffaele participated to many research projects about R&D investments, effects of institutional change on technological processes, privatization processes.
Winner of grants for research projects about start-ups and projects financing, Raffaele has also been, from 2004 to 2007, Member of the Research on Intellectual Property Economics and Strategy (RIPE) Junior Faculty Network at Copenhagen Business School. He has been co-organizer of the 14th Annual International Conference on “Real Options: Theory Meets Practice” and of Summer School “Economics and Management of Intellectual Property Rights” at University of Bologna.
Previously been a Member of the Scientific Board of the Doctoral Programme in Management at University of Bologna, currently he is fulfill the position of Member of the scientific boards of the Ph.D. in Management at LUISS Guido Carli.
His production as a researcher includes several publications on the topics of Economics, Finance and Management of Innovation in International academic journals, including Strategic Management Journal, British Journal of Management, Industrial and Corporate Change, Journal of Business Venturing, International Journal of Management Review, Oxford Review of Economic Policy.
